Math Tutorial: Quadratic Calculator
In order to graph a quadratic equation one must be able to find the roots and the vertex. This often involves a fair amount of mathematics and can be derived several ways. The quadratic calculator below solves for the roots of a quadratic equation and the vertex simultaneously. When using the quadratic calculator it is important to know that the equation must be written in general form ax^2+bx+c=0 and that we only concern ourselves with coefficients "a", "b", and the constant "c". If the coefficient "b" or the constant "c" is missing form the equation a "0" must be entered in their absence. If coefficient "a" is missing then the equation is not quadratic.
